Description

This unit will introduce students to the principles of modelling neural systems and reveal how simple systems can give rise to complex psychological phenomena. Students will learn how the assumptions and simplifications of psychological theories can be made explicit and testable by building simple models. Topics include learning and development, perception, sensorimotor systems, and connectionism. The unit will provide a solid foundation for students choosing to study these topics further at Level 3.
